Nina Beall is a professional painter and artist based at The Rivery Retreat, where she maintains her studio. Her work appears in many public, private, corporate, and museum collections across the U.S. Originally from a small town in East Texas, she earned her undergraduate degree from UT Austin and her graduate degree from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She has received several NEA grants for both her painting and her innovative teaching programs. Beall enjoys developing a mature, prolific body of work rooted in nature and shaped by her unique perspective on time, contrast, and a Taoist-inspired worldview.
As the owner and host of The Rivery Retreat, Beall offers workshops for those looking to grow creatively or simply enjoy the process. These workshops may include outdoor drawing or working on small canvases in her studio. She provides both individual and group instruction for beginners through advanced students. The sessions focus on expanding creative awareness while honoring each guest’s personal expression. Guests who sign up for a workshop receive a materials list in advance.
